Publication Ethics
NCJ: Journal of History, Culture, and Heritage Consulting is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics throughout the publishing process. This statement serves as a guideline for authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher to ensure academic integrity, transparency, and scholarly quality.
Duties of Authors
Authors must submit original works that are free from plagiarism and have not been published or submitted elsewhere. All sources must be properly cited, and all significant contributors should be listed as authors. Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and to cooperate in revisions or clarifications when necessary.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the academic merit and relevance of manuscripts. They must ensure a fair and objective editorial process, maintain confidentiality, and avoid conflicts of interest.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to conduct objective, constructive, and timely reviews. They must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and report any suspected ethical issues, including plagiarism or duplicate publication.
Duties of the Publisher
The publisher supports editorial independence and ensures that publication processes adhere to ethical principles. The publisher is responsible for addressing ethical misconduct in a transparent and professional manner.
Handling of Ethical Misconduct
In cases of suspected or proven ethical misconduct, the editor and publisher will conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate actions, including issuing corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary.
